FAQs about the Ötztal Summer Card: Validity, dogs & getting there

Yes, 100%. As our guest, you’ll automatically receive the Premium Card free of charge from the second day of your holiday until the day of departure. This saves you the regular purchase price, which ranges from around €70 (3 days) to €120 (7 days) for adults.

The pass is valid for the entire summer season, which is expected to run from 11 June to 3 October 2027.

The included services officially apply from the second day of your stay up to and including the day of departure. However, if you use our online check-in in advance, your digital card on your smartphone is valid as a free bus ticket from Ötztal railway station to our hotel in Sölden on the day of arrival.

The Summer Card is personal and does not apply to pets. Your dog is welcome on public buses and mountain railways (please note that muzzles are compulsory!), but will usually need its own ticket, or the standard mountain railway fares will apply.
Good to know: There are streams and fountains along many of the hiking trails around Sölden, so your four-legged friend can cool off even in summer.

The Summer Card covers passenger transport only. If you wish to take your mountain bike on the gondola, you will need an additional ticket or the ‘Bike Unlimited’ card. We’d be happy to advise you on which ticket is best suited to the trails you’re planning to ride.

That depends on when you’re visiting. In the low season (May, June, September, October), you’ll receive two free 3-hour admissions to the thermal baths (excluding the sauna). In the high season (July & August), you’ll receive a 15% discount on all admissions.
Tip: The card gives you access to the famous floating pools in the outdoor area and, for children, to the “Alpine Noah’s Ark” with its tyre slide and water features.

Area 47, located at the entrance to the Ötztal valley, is Austria’s largest outdoor adventure park. It offers non-stop action: from the highest high-rope course to rafting and motocross.
With your Ötztal Summer Card, a one-day pass to the Water Area (20,000 m²) is completely free. This is the heart of the park, featuring highlights such as the slide park (freefall slide), blobbing (giant catapult), the Cannonball water cannon and the Slip’n’Slide slide.
Please note: Other guided tours such as canyoning, rafting or the high ropes course are separate experiences that you can book additionally (not included in the card).

Yes, but only if you’re using the public bus service. The toll charge for driving your own car along the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road or the Glacier Road is not included. Our tip: leave the car behind, hop on the bus (free with the card) and enjoy the view in comfort without having to hunt for a parking space.

The pass includes a one-time hire of a standard bike (city bike/touring bike) from participating retailers – ideal for a leisurely exploration of the valley along the Ötztal Cycle Path.
Important for cyclists: High-quality e-bikes or full-suspension downhill bikes for the Bike Republic Sölden are not included in the free standard hire (surcharge may apply). A separate ticket (“Bike Unlimited”) is also required for transporting bikes in the gondolas.
